Dirnoa

About Dirnoa

A journal of places, landscapes, and questions for exploring the northwest.

Our geographic focus

Dirnoa covers Jujuy, Salta, Tucumán, Catamarca, La Rioja, and Santiago del Estero. Towns and cities sit alongside landscapes, heritage, food, and travel planning. The selection follows the scope of Argentina’s Norte tourism region without treating its varied communities as one interchangeable identity.

How to use the articles

Explanations draw on official tourism sources, museums, parks, and other relevant institutions. Suggested journeys help you consider time and logistics; they are editorial plans, not accounts of personal trips or confirmation that a road is open. Check conditions, reservations, and access with the responsible sources before setting out.

Photographs and editions

Place photographs are identified by location. Object and activity images illustrate their subject without claiming to document the writer’s own experience. Required license credits appear with the images. This English edition is intended for readers in the United States planning a visit; the Spanish edition serves Argentine and other Spanish-speaking readers.

Corrections

Names, dates, and explanations may need updating. Send the article link and the point you would like reviewed to info@dirnoa.com. Dirnoa is the name of this editorial project, not an official tourism office or booking agency.
